I picked up as set of once on "screaming eagle?", baffled and packed mufflers from the Wentachee,WA HD shop last winter. Tried the less expensive ones and it was too loud. It fit perfectly on the Highway Hawk Headpipe I cut off at the beginning of that so called baffle. I now have a nice deep sound louder that stock, but with a muffler that says 80 db, 1997 fits xxx HD model, may not meet standards on other bikes. Looks good and was easy to extend the Savage bracket to support it. As I used a Super Trapp at one time I had a heat shield ad the previous HD muffler I got from my brother (double taper style) had a heat shield on it I have it on the muffler covering up the HD logo. The ? on the Screamin Eagle at the beginning was because it has Hharley Davidson embossed into the muffler shell rather than screamin eagle.

Regarding performance, hard to tell, no dyno, also I still have the white spacer in but a larger idle fuel jet that the dealer tech put in mine after I bought it used and it carboned the plug in 3 days. I'm sure the jet is oversize as I now have the mixture screw out about a turn and 1/2 and no after burning pop. Mileage is about 50MPG and I am heavy and ride with a heavy throttle. Love the sound of running it through the gears. I think it will fit the small diameter stock head pipe and packing with a sight stretch at a muffler shop. Be careful the exhaust doesn't blast right on the rear brake arm. The older HD muffer on the stock head pipe did and that is why I went to the Super Trapp as it is longer. But with the HH headpipe cut long I solved that problem. Ask questions on the installation of you want. Max
